John Rae Society
Virtual Open House
Click on the windows and doors ( and sheep! ) that are framed in red to explore the Hall of Clestrain in Orkney. Click on the ‘Future’ signpost to see our ideas. The Hall of Clestrain was built in 1769 and is Grade A listed and one of a few of its type in Scotland. Its long and eventful history involves pirates, poets and explorers but it is now in a rather sorry state and in desperate need of rescue so it can move forward to a new stage in its life and become a world class event venue and Arctic Centre. Please enjoy your virtual tour of the Hall, and have a look at our exciting and innovative future plans for restoration. And … if you would like to be a part of this wonderful project and help us to restore this fine building to its former glory please contact us on info@johnraesociety.com or visit our web site at https://johnraesociety.com  If you would like to donate to our project then you can use our JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/JRS-Funds-Needed Or raise money by taking part in the John Rae Callenge #ScotlandDigsDigital #johnraechallenge
